Walker Area Food Shelf Open House

The Walker Area Food Shelf faced many opportunities and challenges in 2017.  After years of renting space, the food shelf board took a big step in purchasing a building in March.  Thanks to the help of numerous volunteers and business owners throughout the summer, the necessary interior remodeling was recently completed.  The move into the new location was accomplished and doors opened for the first time on November 7, 2017.  
Director Cheri Ford and the WAFS Board would like to invite the public to join them in celebrating this momentous occasion at an Open House on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
In addition to snacks being served, brief tours of the food shelf as well as the adjacent clothing depot, will be given. 
The Walker Area Food Shelf is located at 8243 Industrial Park across from the Walker Home Center.
